A Coruña, 21 November 2022. Steven Meisel 1993 A Year in Photographs exhibition, is the largest photographic exhibition dedicated to the New York photographer that collects an exquisite selection of photographs taken during his most prolific and creative year.
Located in Muelle de Batería, in the harbour A Coruña, the project continues the much-acclaimed and emblematic exhibition Untold Stories, a retrospective exhibition dedicated to the iconic photographer Peter Lindbergh, which INCOGA also carried out in 2021.
Having a simple and functional architecture where the glamour of the 90s stands out, the project is signed by the famous architect Elsa Urquijo.
INCOGA has taken maximum care of every detail in all phases, adapting, at all times, to its level and requirements. An update, meaning for the company approaching a new challenge, which the company solved successfully and in a timely manner.
This collection has more than 100 original portraits of fashion and cinema renowned men and women. It is distributed in three large and impeccable open-plan rooms with high ceilings and can be visited until 1 May 2023.
Steven Meisel is one of the most prominent fashion photographers of his generation and a driving force behind the supermodel phenomenon of the 1990s. His work captures some of the most influential images in history.
The project, as a whole, has meant the transformation of a part of the old industrial network of A Coruña harbour into a museum of international importance. Untold Stories attracted more than 110,000 visitors and was one of the most important cultural events in the world during last autumn-winter. An event of profound social and cultural impact that has put the Galician Community in the global spotlight, contributing to its positioning as a cultural reference at the international level.
